A Naturopath with a passion!

I am passionate about making herbal and nutritional medicine more accessible and helping people live vibrant healthy lives free of ‘dis’ease.

I only arrived in Australia in 1998 and fortuitously walked into a talk on Iridology at an open day for a Natural Health College in Melbourne. That was it, I was hooked!  It took me a few months of travelling around Australia before I landed in Perth to settle down for a while. I studied full-time from 1999-2006 in order to get my Advanced Diploma of Naturopathy, Diploma of Nutrition (and the other qualifications listed below) at both The Perth Academy of Natural Therapies in WA and at Naturecare College, Sydney, NSW Australia.

On graduating in 2006 I went straight into practice. I then worked in various clinics on the Northern Beaches including Spiritus Mundi, Harbour Osteopathy & Natural Therapies and The Fountain Centre.  I was lucky to be mentored by some of the best in the industry who nurtured my growing passion to start my own business. From 2006 -2012 I worked on the front desk of two of those clinics and raised my 2 children while studying for my Bachelor of Health Science (Complementary Medicine) at Charles Sturt University.

After all this experience I opened Green Door Health in 2012, a multi-disciplinary natural therapies clinic in Elanora Heights on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. At one point we had 14 pracitioners and 8 modalities plus my own busy Naturopathic practice. It was a friendly, vibrant clinic and we were hugely supported by the local community and that allowed us to thrive and grow.

I eventually moved the clinic to Mona Vale in 2018 and a Herbal Apothecary was opened at the front of the shop. This was to make herbal medicine more accessible without having to book a long appointment. It was also in response to the health fund rebates for Naturopathy being phased out. This has been very popular and something I love to do. Since then I have moved to smaller premises next door and now share with Kirsten Severino a nurturing and intuitive kinesiologist and a good friend.

I now offer a custom herb mixing service option available via online booking only. You can also now buy your herbs online at any time with a short phone consultation to follow within 24 hours.  Along with herbal blends, we can also mix custom herbal creams, balms, oil, gels, and ointments and sell a range of herbal products including teas, creams, oils, balms & more.  Whatever you need just ask ! Of course, we still offer longer Naturopathy, Herbal and nutrition appointments via our online booking portal on the website link.

In addition to all this since 2016 I have been lecturing and Clinical Supervising at Endeavour College of Natural Medicine and Torrens University on their Health Science Degree Programs in Naturopathy & Nutritional Medicine. This is something I enjoy: passing on knowledge, teaching, interacting and learning from the next generation of practitioners!

I am now studying towards a post-graduate qualification: Masters in Advanced Naturopathic Medicine at Southern Cross University which I will finish in 2025.

I am a member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Association (ATMS) one of the largest associations of complementary therapists in Australia which maintains the high standards in both education, insurance and safety among Naturopathic practitioners that we are lucky to have in Australia today.

I understand the pressures modern families are under and understand that they need access to excellent preventative health care. I am passionate about Children’s Health, especially Eczema, Allergies, Food Intolerances, GIT complaints, Parasites, Sleep Issues, Anxiety & other behavioural Concerns, ADHD, Fussy eaters, Digestive Complaints Acne and Skin Conditions.
